Choocham dam is located in Kurdistan province in northwest of Dehgolan and near the village of Ghoocham. This dam is under construction on the Miraki river which is one of the tributary of Talvar river.
Ghoocham reservoir dam is an earthfill embankment dam with a central clay core. This dam is under construction in order to reserve, regulate and utilize of needed water for irrigation the agricultural land in Ghorveh-Dehgolan plain. The most part of the water in reservoir is provided by pumping the water from Azad Dam reservoir in Sirvan and the rest is from regional surface water and seasonal water.
